If symptoms such as a decrease in urine output, facial or limb swelling, heavy eyelids, stiff hands, increased blood pressure, or headaches occur after taking this medicine, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Since this medicine contains licorice, prolonged use may lead to symptoms such as hypokalemia, elevated blood pressure, fluid retention, swelling, and weight gain, so regular checks of serum potassium levels are necessary, and if abnormalities are found, use should be stopped. Hypokalemia can lead to symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis; if these symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. The risk of these side effects increases when taken with potassium-containing preparations, other products containing licorice, or certain diuretics, so caution is needed.
