Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with inflammation or fever, or by those who are weak and suffer from dry cough. Moreover, since it contains lactose, individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. While using this medication, be cautious as side effects like dry mouth or tongue curling may occur. In particular, long-term consumption of glycyrrhizin, a component in this medication, exceeding 40 mg per day can reduce potassium levels in the blood, raise blood pressure, and increase sodium and fluid retention leading to symptoms such as edema or weight gain, necessitating careful use. It is advisable not to use the specific ingredients Banha and Odu together. When storing, keep away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place in a sealed container; it is important for maintaining quality not to transfer to another container. People with high blood pressure, older adults, those with heart or kidney issues, or those with edema, and anyone currently undergoing other treatments should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If there is a decrease in urine output, swelling of the face and hands, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffness of the hands, rising blood pressure, or headaches while taking this medicine, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, long-term use may result in muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis associated with hypokalemia, so if symptoms appear, usage should be stopped. When used together with potassium-containing medications or diuretics, these side effects may be more pronounced, so careful administration is necessary.
