This medicine should not be administered to individuals with a fever, those who are weak and have a dry cough, those who are vomiting blood, and those with inflammatory fever. Caution is advised for pregnant women, children with poor nutritional status, and patients with phlegm heat. The glycyrrhizin component in this medicine may cause symptoms similar to aldosterone due to long-term ingestion exceeding 40 milligrams per day, such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and edema from increased sodium and fluid retention; thus, attention is needed. During use, side effects such as dry mouth or tongue distortion may occur and should be monitored. It is advisable not to use Pinellia Ternata and Atractylodes Macrocephala together when formulating the medicine. When storing, keep in a sealed container away from direct sunlight in a cool and dry place. To prevent misuse of the medicine and maintain quality, it is important not to transfer it to another container. Individuals with high blood pressure, the elderly, patients with heart or kidney problems, patients with edema, or those undergoing treatment by a physician should always consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking. If symptoms such as reduced urination, facial or limb edema, heaviness of the eyelids, hand stiffness, increased blood pressure, or headaches occur during use, stop taking immediately and consult an expert. For long-term use, serum potassium levels should be regularly monitored, and if abnormalities are found, use should be discontinued. Symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis may occur due to hypokalemia; if these symptoms present, stop taking the medicine and consult a physician. Additionally, using this medicine along with potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, or specific diuretics may increase the risk of hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities, so use with caution.
