Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medication is used for allergic or inflammatory skin diseases with secondary infections, such as eczema, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and seborrheic dermatitis. It also helps with itching, psoriasis, and the treatment of first-degree burns. It is used to effectively improve various skin inflammations and infections.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1 to 3 times daily.
This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as symptoms may worsen. Patients with allergies or a history of hypersensitivity to this drug or its components should not use it. Caution is advised in patients with eczematous otitis externa who have a perforated tympanic membrane, as healing may be delayed. It is not recommended for use in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin regeneration may be inhibited and healing may be delayed. This medication is not suitable for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea. If allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin, cross-reactivity may occur, hence should be avoided. Patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to propylene glycol should use this medication with caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, and children should always consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If there are symptoms of skin infection or irritation, rash, itching, or discoloration, use should be stopped immediately and a specialist consulted. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as skin atrophy, capillary dilation, and steroid acne; thus, gradually reducing the dosage or switching to another medication is necessary. This medication contains corticosteroid components and should be used with caution if applied widely or over long periods under occlusive dressings, as systemic side effects may occur. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, so caution is advised, and if visual disturbances such as blurred vision occur, immediate consultation with an ophthalmologist is required. In children, the risk of side effects is higher due to the larger skin surface area relative to body weight, so only the minimum amount should be used under parental supervision. It is essential to follow the prescribed usage and dosage, avoid long-term use, and stop as soon as symptoms improve. The use of occlusive dressings may increase the risk of bacterial infection, so it should only be done under a doctor's direction and should not be used for cosmetic purposes or after shaving.
