How to take

Adult dose

Adults should take 100 mg to 200 mg of iron once daily.

Child dose

Children aged 6 years and older should take 100 mg of iron once daily.

Precautions

This medicine can cause severe poisoning if accidentally taken in large amounts by children, so it should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children. Individuals who are allergic to the ingredients of this medication, infants under 12 months, and patients with certain medical conditions should not use it. For example, those with disorders related to iron metabolism or diseases where iron accumulates excessively, certain types of anemia, or liver or pancreatic diseases should not take this medicine. Moreover, overdose may cause symptoms such as vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, bleeding, and lethargy, so caution is required; contact a medical institution immediately if these symptoms appear. Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take with medications containing phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids. Also avoid taking with iron-containing preparations (iron supplements, contrast agents for MRI, etc.), aldosterone antagonists, triamterene, bisphosphonate salts, thyroxine, cefdinir formulations, quinolones, penicillamine, cholestyramine, pancreatic enzymes, and vitamin E, as well as ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in doses over 200 mg.

Food interactions

Avoid consuming tea containing tannins, like green tea or black tea, and milk and dairy products during or before and after taking this medicine.
