Combination Talcid Chewable Tablets

Adult dose

Children over 15 years and adults: 1 tablet per dose, 3 times a day, to be taken before meals or in between meals while fasting, chewed or dissolved in the mouth.

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. This medication should not be taken by patients undergoing dialysis or children under 15 years of age. Individuals with impaired kidney function or who are taking other medications should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for about 2 weeks, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional, bringing the medication's package insert with you. When taking this medication, it is important to follow the prescribed dosage and directions carefully, and it must be chewed or dissolved in the mouth before swallowing. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Additionally, do not transfer the medication to another container, and be careful to avoid misuse.

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with glycoside-based drugs, tetracycline antibiotics, the quinolone derivatives of ofloxacin and ciprofloxacin, chenodeoxycholic acid, and large amounts of dairy calcium products.

Food interactions

This medication should be taken with acidic foods (wine, fruit juices, etc.) either 1-2 hours before or 1-2 hours after consumption.

This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is best to maintain the storage temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius to preserve the medication's effectiveness and safety.
