Individuals with allergies to this medication or its components, or a history of hypersensitivity, should also avoid its use. Patients with external ear infections with perforated eardrums, ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should refrain from using this medication, as it may delay healing of the skin. Those with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should avoid using this medication. If there is an allergy to specific antibiotics, it is important to consult a healthcare provider before using this medication. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication, and it is advisable for infants and children to consult a healthcare professional before use. Should any unusual reactions occur during use, such as signs of infection, irritation, rash, itching, or skin dryness, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Prolonged use may lead to side effects, including skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and pigmentation changes, so it is crucial to stop using it quickly once symptoms improve. This medication should be used cautiously if applied extensively or for an extended period with occlusive dressings, as it can be absorbed into the body and cause systemic side effects. Extra caution is warranted when using it around the eyes due to the risk of glaucoma or cataract. Long-term use may result in decreased renal function or hearing loss, and regular monitoring is recommended. In children, the risk of side effects is greater due to higher absorption relative to body surface area, so it should be used cautiously at the minimum effective dose. When applied to diaper-wearing areas, it may create an occlusive dressing effect, requiring special caution. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be applied directly to the eyes or for ophthalmic treatment. It is advisable to avoid applying it to the skin after cosmetics or shaving, and occlusive dressing should only be used safely under a physician's guidance.
