It should not be used in patients with specific tumors such as pheochromocytoma, as it may cause an increase in blood pressure. Patients with allergic reactions to this medication or those intolerant should avoid taking it. This medication is also unsuitable for patients with liver disease or those in a manic phase of bipolar disorder. Care is needed for patients with breast-related disorders as this medication may exacerbate symptoms due to hormonal changes. Additionally, patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take this medication due to the lactose content. Hypertensive patients, children, and elderly patients should be administered this medication with caution, and children, in particular, should be careful of excessive dosage. This medication may cause amenorrhea, galactorrhea, gynecomastia, and other symptoms due to hormonal secretion abnormalities; if any unusual symptoms occur, dosing should be immediately stopped. Additionally, rare neurological symptoms such as tremors, tongue spasms, and anxiety may occur, requiring caution. Long-term use may lead to involuntary facial muscle movements, which may persist even after the medication is discontinued. In the gastrointestinal tract, dryness of the mouth, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation may occur. Cardiac issues such as hypertension or arrhythmias may seldom occur, thus requiring caution. In severe cases, a dangerous symptom known as neuroleptic malignant syndrome may arise, which presents with high fever, muscle rigidity, and changes in consciousness, necessitating immediate treatment. Allergic symptoms such as rash or edema may also occur rarely, and dosing should be halted if such symptoms arise. During the intake of this medication, symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia, lethargy, and erectile dysfunction may appear. It is advisable to avoid activities requiring attention, such as driving or operating machinery, while taking this medication. When taken with other medications that may affect heart rhythm, there is an increased risk of cardiac arrhythmias, so careful monitoring is needed. This medication may interact with other drugs, particularly with anticholinergics, analgesics, and psychiatric medications, thus caution is advised. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication, and elderly patients should adjust the dosage and administration intervals due to potential renal function decline leading to prolonged drug presence in the body. Finally, although this medication can be used to relieve vomiting symptoms, it may not be effective for certain types of vomiting caused by poisoning, intestinal obstruction, or brain tumors; thus, it should be used under the guidance of a professional.
