Treatment of arthritis (inflammation, pain) such as chronic multifocal arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
This medication is used for various joint diseases such as chronic multifocal arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps alleviate pain, swelling, and inflammation caused by trauma or surgery. It is also effective as an adjunctive therapy for infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. This drug contributes to improving overall inflammation and pain, thereby enhancing the quality of life for patients.
Adults: Administer 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally 2 to 4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen per day.
This drug may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day; thus, consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. Caution is needed for those with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, as the risk of cardiovascular thrombotic reactions, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, may increase with this medication. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, particularly in the elderly or with long-term use. Individuals with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, or severe liver, kidney, or heart disease, should not take this medication. Concurrent use with aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be avoided due to an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Breastfeeding women should consider stopping breastfeeding or discontinuing the medication since it can be transmitted through breast milk, potentially causing adverse reactions in infants. Dizziness or fatigue may occur with this medication, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Those with blood disorders, liver or kidney dysfunction, hypertension, heart failure, or other existing conditions should consult healthcare professionals before use, and caution is also necessary for the elderly and children. This medication may interact with several drugs; therefore, any concurrent medications should be reported to a physician or pharmacist. If severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, difficulty breathing, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, or kidney function decline occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. It is advisable not to take this medication during pregnancy, particularly after six months, as it can be harmful to the fetus, and women in early pregnancy or planning pregnancy should consult healthcare professionals. The medication should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible, and regular blood tests along with liver and kidney function tests are necessary for long-term use. In the case of overdose, even without symptoms, immediate medical attention should be sought for proper treatment. This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container, protected from direct sunlight and moisture, and kept out of reach of children.

Do not take this medication with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, or high doses of methotrexate. Before taking, avoid corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, coumarin anticoagulants, baclofen, immunosuppressants, thrombolytics, ticlopidine, anticoagulants, and elevated potassium levels.
This medication should be stored in a sealed container to protect it from air and moisture. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature between 1°C and 30°C.
