Treatment of inflammatory diseases of the external and anterior parts of the eye (such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.)
This eye drop is used to treat various inflammatory diseases occurring in the external and anterior parts of the eye. Specifically, it effectively improves inflammation occurring in the eyelids (blepharitis), the conjunctiva of the eye, keratitis, scleritis, episcleritis, as well as deeper inflammation such as iritis, iridocyclitis, and uveitis. It is also used to treat inflammation that may occur after eye surgery. This medication helps relieve inflammation, improve symptoms, and maintain comfortable vision. Therefore, it is widely used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of various parts of the eye.
Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day. Adjust according to symptoms. Discard any remaining solution and container immediately after use. (For single-use only)
This drug should not be used in patients with viral keratitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Additionally, it should not be administered to individuals with hypersensitivity to this drug. In principle, this medication should not be used in patients with damaged corneal epithelium or corneal ulcers, tuberculosis or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years of age, and it should be used with great caution if absolutely necessary. Long-term use of this medication can increase intraocular pressure, leading to glaucoma or optic nerve damage, so regular eye pressure checks are necessary. Caution is needed when using this drug in the presence of infections such as herpes keratitis or corneal ulcers, as symptoms may worsen or perforation of the cornea may occur. Long-term use may lead to cataract formation or suppression of immune function, increasing the risk of eye infections. In the case of acute purulent eye infection, this medication may mask or worsen symptoms, so caution is advised. If symptoms such as eye redness, pain, or changes in vision persist for more than 48 hours, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. This medication contains phosphates, which may rarely cause corneal calcification if severe eye damage is present. After cataract surgery, healing may be delayed, and there is a risk of blisters, so caution is necessary. Prolonged use may affect hormone function in the body, so it should be used as directed by a physician. Individuals who have not had chickenpox or measles or have not been vaccinated should take special care to avoid infection while using this medication; if infection is suspected, they should seek medical attention immediately. Using this medication on reddened eyes without a doctor's diagnosis carries a risk of blindness; therefore, one must strictly follow a professional's instructions. When using this medication for more than 10 days, children or those unable to cooperate should be monitored with regular eye pressure tests. For those wearing contact lenses, lenses should be removed before application of the medication and should be reinserted at least 30 minutes afterward. Temporary blurring of vision may occur during instillation, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Particularly in children and patients taking specific medications, there may be systemic side effects following the use of this medication, so caution is required. When used in conjunction with certain medications (e.g., ritonavir, cobicistat), the risk of systemic side effects may increase, so consult a physician. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid long-term use of this medication, and nursing mothers should refrain from using it if possible, and if necessary, should stop breastfeeding. Children and the elderly require additional caution when using this medication, and it should be used only for ophthalmic purposes, avoiding direct contact of the container opening with the eye. Shake well before use, and any remaining solution from single-use products should be discarded after use. The medication should be stored in a sealed container as it may be sensitive to air or moisture. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature to safe and effectively maintain the medicine's efficacy.
Severe allergic reactions (hypersensitivity) during instillation, possibility of worsening infections (corneal perforation, masking and exacerbation of acute purulent eye infections), fatal outcomes in cases of chickenpox or measles infections, risk of blindness (indiscriminate administration of corticosteroids in reddened eyes)
Increased intraocular pressure, decreased vision, field defects, herpes keratitis, fungal keratitis, Pseudomonas infection, corneal ulcers, posterior capsule cataract, increased risk of secondary eye infections, acute uveitis, keratitis, conjunctivitis, mydriasis, conjunctival hyperemia, paralysis of accommodation, ptosis, corneal calcification, delayed wound healing, increased formation of blisters, suppression of pituitary and adrenal cortical function, localized hypersensitivity reactions, temporary vision blurring
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it must be stored in a sealed container. It is important to maintain a storage temperature at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This will help safely maintain the medication's efficacy for a long time.
