Adult dosage

This medicine should not be used in patients with inflammatory fever. This medicine contains lactose, so patients with hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Caution should be exercised in patients with poor nutritional status in children or manifestations of damp-heat symptoms. This medicine contains glycyrrhizinic acid, and taking more than 40mg per day for a long time can lead to side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain, so caution is necessary. When taking, dissolve it in warm water and drink only the supernatant, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Transferring to another container may pose a risk of misuse and quality deterioration, so it should be stored in the original container. Patients with high blood pressure or heart, kidney diseases, or those with edema or under treatment should definitely consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as reduced urine output, edema of the face or extremities, eyelid heaviness, hand stiffness, increased blood pressure, or headaches occur during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. When taking for a long period, regular checks of serum potassium levels should be performed, and if abnormalities occur, taking should be stopped. Symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis may occur due to hypokalemia, so if these symptoms occur, taking should be discontinued. Caution is needed when taken with potassium supplements, glycyrrhizin-containing preparations, or specific diuretics, as the risk of side effects related to hypokalemia may increase. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medicine as it may increase the risk of uterine contractions or miscarriage. Lactating women should avoid taking this medicine because the ingredients may be transmitted to breast milk and cause diarrhea in the baby. Patients with diarrhea, gastrointestinal discomfort, vomiting, or those who are very weak should definitely consult a specialist before taking this medicine. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal pain, or diarrhea occur during use, stop taking immediately and consult an expert. The laxative effect of this medicine may vary from person to person; therefore, the prescribed methods and dosages should be strictly followed, and long-term use of irritant laxatives can lead to tolerance and worsening constipation, so it should not be taken for more than a week. When used in conjunction with other traditional herbal preparations, care should be taken to avoid duplication of the contained herbal components.
