Precautions

This medicine should not be used by patients with inflammation or fever, or those who are weak and exhausted. Additionally, this medicine contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion. Children with nutritional disorders or those with phlegm heat symptoms should use this medicine cautiously. This medicine contains glycyrrhizin, and using it long-term at doses exceeding the maximum daily amount can lead to low potassium levels in the blood, increased blood pressure, and the accumulation of sodium and fluids in the body, resulting in edema and weight gain, so caution is required. When storing, it should be kept in a sealed container to avoid direct sunlight and moisture, and it should not be transferred to another container. Patients with high blood pressure or heart or kidney diseases, as well as those with edema or who are undergoing treatment, must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as decreased urine output, swelling of the face and limbs, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffness in the hands, increased blood pressure, or headaches occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Long-term use of this medicine may lead to symptoms associated with hypokalemia, such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis, so usage should be stopped if these symptoms occur. Moreover, caution should be exercised when used in conjunction with potassium-containing preparations or certain diuretics, as it increases the risk of hypokalemia and hyperaldosteronism.
