This medicine should not be used in patients with fever due to inflammation. Women with excessive menstrual symptoms or who are pregnant, and those with weak digestive function should exercise caution when using this medicine. One of the ingredients in this medicine, glycyrrhizin, requires caution as exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose over an extended period may lead to symptoms such as hypokalemia, elevated blood pressure, edema, or weight gain. This medicine should be stored in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place, and must be sealed after use to prevent quality deterioration. It is also advisable not to transfer the medicine to other containers to maintain its quality and prevent misuse. Individuals with high blood pressure or advanced age, those with heart or kidney diseases, and patients with edema should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If urine output decreases, face or extremities swell, eyelids become heavy, or stiffness in the hands occurs during use, the medicine should be discontinued immediately and a professional consulted. When taking this medicine for an extended period, it is important to regularly monitor potassium levels in the blood; if abnormalities are found, the use of the medicine should be discontinued. Symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis may occur due to hypokalemia, so the medicine should also be discontinued, and a professional consulted, if such symptoms arise. Furthermore, caution should be exercised when using potassium supplements or other medications containing licorice, as well as certain diuretics, as the risk of side effects may increase.
