Precautions

This medication must be strictly adhered to a dosage not exceeding 7.5 grams per day. Patients with severe hypercalcemia or hypercalciuria, excessive parathyroid function or decreased thyroid function, and severe renal failure should not take this medication. Also, caution is needed for patients with low stomach acid or achlorhydria. Patients with impaired kidney function or issues with heart and lung function, those with constipation, and those taking other medications should proceed with caution when using this medication. Usage of this medication may lead to gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, constipation, or diarrhea, and rarely may cause excessive stomach acid secretion. Taking high doses may lead to elevated calcium levels in the blood or alkalosis. Long-term excessive use may increase the risk of kidney stones or urinary stones, so caution is advised. Allergic reactions such as itching may also occur. Dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and when administering to children, supervision by a guardian should be ensured. If symptoms do not improve after two weeks of use, consult a physician or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken with certain antibiotics of the tetracycline class, as it can interfere with the absorption of the antibiotic. Additionally, this medication may alter the gastrointestinal environment, affecting the absorption or excretion of other drugs, so caution is required. Taking this medication with large amounts of milk may lead to milk-alkali syndrome (hypercalcemia, hypernitrogenemia, alkalosis, etc.), so if such symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a physician. When taken with vitamin D or certain diuretics, the risk of hypercalcemia increases, so caution is necessary. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, kept tightly closed and protected from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. Moreover, do not transfer the medication to another container; care should be taken to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication.
