Precautions

This medication should not be used on areas with specific infectious skin diseases. For example, using it on skin infected by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or by animals may exacerbate symptoms. Additionally, people with a history of allergic reactions or hypersensitivity to this medication or its ingredients should avoid use. It should also be avoided in patients with otitis externa who have a perforated eardrum, as it may delay healing. Avoid using it on skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite areas as it may inhibit skin regeneration and delay recovery. It is also not suitable for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, diaper rash, or pruritus of the anal and genital areas. Avoid use in children under 4 years of age and on the face. Special caution is required for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, and the elderly when using this medication. Caution should be exercised if allergic to the ingredient propylene glycol is present. The risk of skin infections may occur with the use of this medication, and if any symptoms of infection appear, use should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Various skin side effects, such as skin irritation, itching, rash, and skin dryness, may occur. If these symptoms develop, use should be stopped. With prolonged use, side effects such as thinning of the skin, pigmentation changes, and acne may occur, so it is advisable to gradually reduce the dosage and switch to another medication. If a topical steroid is absorbed into the body, it may inhibit pituitary and adrenal function, so regular testing is required for extensive or long-term use. Caution is essential if used around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, especially when using occlusive dressing techniques. While not generally recommended for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, if unavoidable, it is best used in combination with antibiotics or antifungals. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, use should be stopped immediately, and the medication should be discontinued as soon as possible. It is safer not to use during the first three months of pregnancy, and nursing mothers should avoid applying this medication to the breast area. In children, due to a larger surface area relative to body weight, there is a higher risk of side effects, so caution is particularly necessary, and application to diaper areas should also be avoided. Older patients are at a higher risk of side effects, so if using large quantities or for prolonged periods, it should be done under medical supervision. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes nor for cosmetic or shaving purposes outside of therapeutic intent. Do not use occlusive dressings without a doctor's instruction, and clean the affected area before use to minimize the risk of infection. Finally, keep out of reach of children, and when used by psoriasis patients, caution is needed as skin conditions may worsen or systemic side effects may occur.
