Treatment of androgenetic alopecia in both men and women.
This medication is used for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, specifically male and female pattern hair loss. In particular, products with concentrations of 2%, 3%, and 5% are effective in improving this type of alopecia. It helps to slow down hair loss caused by alopecia and promotes hair growth. Therefore, it is beneficial in alleviating symptoms of hair loss and maintaining hair health. This medication is effectively used for alopecia treatment.
(Gel) After completely drying the hair and scalp, apply this medication 0.5 to 1 g twice a day (morning, evening) to the affected area for a minimum of 4 months. The total daily dose should not exceed 2 g. This product is not recommended for females using the 5% concentration. Children under 18 years of age should avoid use. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing women, should not use 2% or 3% concentration products. Individuals who have previously shown allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should avoid use. Patients with heart or vascular diseases may face risks when using this medication and should use it with caution. This medication is not suitable for hair loss not caused by genetic factors. If hair loss occurs suddenly in patches, this medication should not be used. Use of this medication should be avoided in cases of scalp inflammation, infections, irritation, redness, psoriasis, or sunburn. Patients with unclear causes of hair loss should consult a specialist before using this medication. It is best not to combine this medication with other topical scalp medications. Do not use this medication when the scalp is shaved. If there is poor tolerance to the 2% product, it is advisable not to use the 5% product either. For hair loss occurring after childbirth, it is recommended not to use the 2% or 3% products. During the use of this medication, it should not be combined with topical corticosteroids, retinoids, petroleum jelly, or dithranol. Be cautious if you are taking medications that cause vasodilation, as this medication may exacerbate low blood pressure. Individuals over 55 years old should consult a specialist, as the safety and effectiveness of this medication are uncertain. Patients with edema should consult a doctor before using the 5% product. Those with thyroid dysfunction should also consult a specialist before using the 5% product. If symptoms such as skin itching, redness, irritation, or rashes occur during the use of this medication, use should be discontinued immediately and a specialist should be consulted. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may appear; if severe, consult a doctor. If symptoms related to the heart, such as chest pain, changes in blood pressure, or palpitations occur, inform a specialist immediately. If symptoms such as difficulty breathing, coughing, or sinusitis develop, discontinue use and consult a specialist. Caution is needed for autonomic nervous system symptoms like muscle pain and joint pain. If central nervous system symptoms such as dizziness, headache, or fainting occur, stop using immediately and seek medical attention. Symptoms of hepatitis may occur, so inform a specialist if any liver health issues arise. Consult a doctor if edema or kidney-related problems develop. If allergic reactions such as hives, fever, or facial swelling occur, discontinue the medication immediately. If there is eye irritation, vision changes, or alterations in taste, specialist attention is needed. In the early stages of using this medication, temporary worsening of hair loss may occur; if it continues for more than 2 weeks, consultation is needed. If there is no effect after using for more than 4 months, consult a specialist. This medication can affect the heart due to excessive absorption, so consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If there are wounds or severe inflammation on the scalp, absorption of this medication may increase, raising the risk of side effects. If a dose is missed, continue with the usual dosage and do not double up. This medication may not be effective for hair loss caused by medications, nutritional deficiencies, hypothyroidism, or chemotherapy. Excessive use may result in cardiovascular side effects, so the prescribed dosage must be strictly followed. In case of overdose, consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately and receive appropriate treatment. This medication is for external use only and should not be used on areas other than the scalp. Do not use occlusive dressings when applying this medication. Be careful to avoid contact with the eyes, and if contact occurs, wash immediately with clean water. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Hair styling products should be used only after this medication is completely dry; if used in the evening, it is recommended to apply it 2 to 4 hours before sleep. Ensure good air circulation to the scalp, and avoid using hair dryers to promote drying. Animal experiments have reported tumor occurrences in some species; caution is needed for long-term use. This medication is flammable, so keep it away from heat and store it out of reach of children. Store in the original container tightly closed; transferring to another container may lead to misuse or degradation of the medication's quality.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), severe swelling accompanied by increased blood pressure, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mouth/eye mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, assessments.

This medication should not be used with other topical scalp medications, topical corticosteroids, retinoids, petroleum jelly, dithranol, or medications that promote transdermal absorption, such as guanethidine.
This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a container that does not allow light to enter. It is also important to store it in a sealed container to prevent air entry. The storage temperature should be maintained at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
