Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Patients with blood disorders or those being treated for kidney, liver, stomach, duodenal diseases, and immune system disorders such as asthma or rheumatoid disease are at risk of low white blood cell or platelet counts when taking this medication. If already taking ranitidine or similar medications for gastrointestinal disease treatment, caution should be exercised to avoid overlapping use of this medication. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer drugs, or azole antifungals should use this medication cautiously due to the risk of side effects such as reduced white blood cell or platelet counts. Individuals with a history of blood anomalies such as erythrocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia may experience further decreases in blood cell counts while taking this medication. People with hypersensitivity to histamine H2-receptor antagonists should not use this medication. Children under 15 and elderly individuals over 80 have not had their safety sufficiently established, and particularly in the elderly, the effect of the medication may be excessive due to reduced kidney function, so caution is advised. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding mothers, should avoid using this medication as its safety has not been established, and its components can be transferred through breast milk. If seeing a doctor or taking other medications, caution should be exercised as drug interactions may lead to side effects or reduced efficacy. Individuals with a history of drug hypersensitivity should be careful when taking this medication due to the risk of side effects. Elderly individuals over 65 should use this medication cautiously due to significant variability caused by declining physiological functions. Patients with a sore throat, cough, or high fever are at risk of severe infections, so care should be taken as symptoms may worsen or side effects may be hidden during medication use. If experiencing unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain, another condition may be the cause, so it is advisable to consult a doctor before taking this medication. While taking this medication, rare symptoms such as allergic reactions, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, muscle pain may occur; if these symptoms appear, discontinue and consult a specialist immediately. If chest tightness, paleness, cold hands and feet, cold sweat, or shortness of breath occurs suddenly after taking, discontinue immediately and inform medical personnel. If experiencing severe skin rashes, blisters, or changes in the mucous membranes of the mouth and body accompanied by high fever, discontinue immediately and seek medical attention. If symptoms of sore throat, fever, fatigue, or bleeding symptoms such as gum bleeding or nosebleeds occur, stop taking this medication and consult a doctor. If symptoms of jaundice are present, discontinue immediately and consult with medical personnel. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days of use, discontinue and consult a specialist as another condition may be involved. Do not continue use for more than 2 weeks and be careful not to exceed the recommended dosage. It is advisable not to consume alcoholic beverages while taking this medication and avoid concurrent use with other gastrointestinal medications. Patients with kidney disease must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking. Antacid components included in this medication may hinder absorption when taken with certain antibiotics or antimicrobial agents, so caution is advised. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity. To maintain quality, it is best not to transfer to other containers.
