This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal-related symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 2 tablets at a time; if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 2 times per day (4 tablets).

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with blood disorders or kidney and liver diseases. Patients undergoing treatment for gastric or duodenal conditions, asthma, or autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis should also be cautious as the use of this medication may result in side effects such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia. Patients taking medications such as steroids, antibiotics, anticancer drugs, or azole antifungals should be careful as using this medication together may increase the risk of decreased blood cell counts. Patients with a history of blood abnormalities such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia may also experience worsening symptoms if they use this medication. Individuals with hypersensitivity to histamine H2 receptor antagonists should not use this medication. Safety in children under 15 years old and seniors over 80 years old has not been established, and especially in the elderly, the medication may have a strong effect due to decreased kidney function, so caution is advised. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant and nursing mothers should consult a doctor before using this medication. If nursing, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding. Patients undergoing dialysis should not use this medication. This medication contains lactose and should not be given to patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders. Patients receiving medical treatment or taking other medications should use this medication with caution to prevent side effects or reduced efficacy due to drug interactions. Individuals with hypersensitivity to medication also need to be cautious. Patients over 65 years of age should be particularly careful when taking this medication due to significant differences in physical function. If there are symptoms of infection such as sore throat, cough, or fever, these symptoms may worsen with the use of this medication, and consultation with a doctor is advised. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for three days, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist as there may be other underlying conditions. Do not take the medication for more than two weeks, and since alcoholic beverages may increase blood alcohol levels, it is advisable not to consume them together. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage, and do not use this medication for other symptoms. Patients with a history of kidney disease must consult a specialist before taking it. The antacid ingredients contained in this medication may interfere with the absorption of certain antibiotics and antibacterial agents, so it is advisable not to take them together. Furthermore, caution should be exercised when combined with other gastrointestinal medications as side effects may worsen.
