This medication is used to relieve symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis, namely degenerative arthritis.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 400 to 800 mg of chondroitin sulfate sodium twice a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals who have had an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to specific ingredients. Additionally, patients with acute arthritis pain or children under 16 years old should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with a genetic disorder that prevents them from digesting lactose should also refrain from taking it. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Individuals who are allergic to the dye Yellow No. 5 should take caution when using this medication. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, or loss of appetite occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If rash, itching, swelling, or similar symptoms appear on the skin, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. If symptoms of swelling or fluid retention occur, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. If taken over a long period, regular blood tests, urine tests, and liver function tests should be conducted to check for abnormalities, and if any are found, the dosage may need to be reduced or stopped altogether. In addition to medication, it is advisable to consider other treatment options as well.
