This medication is used to relieve digestive symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years): Take 2 tablets at a time, and if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 2 doses (4 tablets) per day.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver disease, gastric or duodenal disease, or immune system diseases such as asthma or rheumatoid arthritis. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer drugs, or azole antifungals should also be cautious when taking this medication due to the risk of reducing blood cell counts. Patients with a history of blood abnormalities such as erythrocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia should avoid taking this medication. People who are hypersensitive to histamine H2-receptor antagonists should not use it, and children under 15 or elderly individuals over 80 should avoid or use this medication cautiously as its safety has not been established, and reduced kidney function may lead to excessive effects. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant and nursing mothers should refrain from taking this medication as its safety has not been sufficiently confirmed, and the drug may be passed through breast milk, so breastfeeding should be stopped while taking this medication. Patients undergoing dialysis treatment should also avoid using this medication. When taking this medication, consult with a doctor as interactions with other drugs may occur, and caution is necessary if there is hypersensitivity to the medication. If symptoms of infection such as sore throat, cough, or high fever are present, taking this medication may worsen symptoms or conceal side effects, so it should be used cautiously. This medication contains a coloring agent called Yellow No. 4 (tartrazine), so people allergic to this substance should be careful. If there is unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain, it is advisable to consult with a specialist before taking it as there may be other conditions. If allergic symptoms, digestive disturbances, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain occur, or if sudden symptoms such as chest tightness, pallor, cold sweat, or shortness of breath appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If high fever occurs with skin rash, mucosal bleeding, or jaundice symptoms, discontinue use immediately as well. If symptoms do not improve after three days of use, it may indicate another condition, so stop taking it and consult with a doctor or pharmacist, and it is important not to take it for more than two weeks. Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this medication, do not exceed the prescribed dosage, and it should not be used for symptoms other than its intended effects. Patients with kidney disease must consult with a specialist before use. The antacid component of this medication may hinder absorption when taken with certain antibiotics or antimicrobials, so caution should be exercised not to take them together, and combining it with other gastrointestinal drugs may worsen side effects. Store this medication in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures, out of reach of children, and do not transfer it to another container to maintain quality.
