Treatment of skin fungal infections (athlete's foot, tinea cruris, etc.), tinea versicolor, and skin candidiasis
This drug is effective against skin fungal infections such as athlete's foot, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by dermatophytes like Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton. It is also used to treat tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare and skin candidiasis. In summary, it helps improve skin diseases caused by various fungal infections.
Apply to the affected area (lesion area) once or twice daily. The treatment duration varies depending on the condition: 1. Athlete's foot (tinea pedis): once daily for 1 week. Interdigital tinea pedis: twice daily for 1 week. Plantar tinea pedis: twice daily for 2 weeks. 2. Tinea corporis, tinea cruris: 1 to 2 weeks. 3. Skin candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks. 4. Tinea versicolor: 2 weeks. After the treatment period, if clinical symptoms do not improve, a reevaluation of the diagnosis is necessary.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to the specific ingredients or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. It is advisable for pregnant women, women who might become pregnant, and nursing mothers to avoid using this medication. Additionally, children should preferably not use this drug. Since this product contains propylene glycol, patients with allergies to this ingredient or a history of hypersensitivity should use it with caution. If any rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If severe skin irritation, urticaria, redness, itching, dermatitis, skin peeling, crusting wounds, pigment abnormalities, painful sensations, or burning occur, seek professional advice immediately. This medication should not be applied under occlusive dressings or wrappings without a doctor's advice. If there is no effect after using this medication, further tests should be conducted to confirm fungal infection before considering other treatment options. When a Candida infection is suspected, it is recommended to avoid using acidic soaps. Although the drug is less likely to be absorbed systemically when applied to intact skin, caution is needed when used on wounds, large areas, or infants as systemic effects may occur. In case of accidental ingestion, activated charcoal should be used to eliminate the active ingredient, and symptomatic treatment should be sought if necessary. This drug is for external use only and should be kept out of the eyes. If it gets into the eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water, as there could be risks of irritation or worsening infection. Do not use on nails, scalp, around the mouth, or genital area. Slight photosensitivity reactions have been reported in animal studies, so caution is advised when exposed to sunlight. This product must be stored out of reach of children and kept tightly closed in the original container. Transferring it to another container may lead to misuse and degradation of quality, so it should be avoided.
