Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bleeding. Conditions such as hemophilia or gastrointestinal ulcers that pose a risk of bleeding may worsen. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. Women who are menstruating or have a tendency to bleed should use this medication with caution. Patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents may have an increased risk of bleeding, so caution is necessary. Patients with severely impaired kidney function and the elderly may have difficulty excreting the drug, requiring dose adjustment and monitoring. During treatment with this medication, side effects such as bleeding symptoms, liver function abnormalities, and blood abnormalities may occur, so consult a healthcare professional immediately if symptoms appear. If hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash or itching occur, discontinue the medication. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea may occur, so caution is advised. Regular blood tests to check for side effects are important. Taking this medication together with other anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents may further increase the risk of bleeding, so be sure to consult with a doctor. Pregnant or nursing women are advised not to take this medication, and if unavoidable, it is preferable to avoid breastfeeding. The safety for children has not been established, so it is generally not recommended for use. The elderly should start at a low dose and be closely monitored due to potential increases in drug concentration from decreased kidney and liver function. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and avoid transferring it to other containers.
