This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal-related symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (aged 15 years and older, under 80 years old) should take 2 tablets at a time; if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 2 doses (4 tablets) per day.

Precautions

This medicine should not be administered to patients undergoing treatment for blood disorders, kidney and liver diseases, stomach and duodenal diseases, or immune system diseases such as asthma or rheumatism. Patients who are taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer drugs, or azole antifungals should be cautious as using this medication may lead to side effects such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia. Patients with a history of blood abnormalities such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, and leukopenia may be at increased risk of further decreasing blood cell counts when taking this medication. Individuals with hypersensitivity to histamine H2 receptor antagonists may experience allergic reactions when using this medication. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently confirmed in children, especially those under 15 years of age, and elderly patients over 80 years old should be cautious as decreased kidney function can lead to excessive accumulation and effects of the medication. Pregnant women, women of childbearing age, and breastfeeding women should avoid using this medication as its safety has not been established and it may pass into breast milk. Patients receiving dialysis treatment should consult their physician before taking this medication. Special attention should be paid to interactions with other medications while using this medication, particularly when taken with other gastrointestinal drugs, as side effects may be exacerbated.
