Improvement of hypogonadism
This medication is used for male hypogonadism, a condition characterized by insufficient secretion of male hormones.
The treatment initiation should be a slow intramuscular injection of 250 mg of testosterone enanthate every 2 to 3 weeks. The dosing interval should be personalized based on the clinical response and severity of testosterone deficiency. Serum testosterone levels should be measured before treatment and during the injection period; if they are higher than normal, the injection interval may be extended, and if lower than normal, it may be shortened.

Furthermore, when taken with certain drugs that induce liver enzymes, the efficacy of this medication may be diminished. The safety and effectiveness of this medication have not been established in children or adolescents, and its use is not recommended. Elderly individuals have reduced bodily function and may have increased risks for certain tumors, so they should be particularly cautious when using this medication. It should be injected very slowly into the muscle, being careful with the injection site and method to avoid nerve or tissue damage.
