This medication is used to treat hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, occurring in the armpits, hands, and feet.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area in the evening and wash it off with water the next morning. Use once every night until sweating stops, and if symptoms improve, reduce to 1–2 times a week.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by anyone who is allergic to this medicine or its components. When using this medication, it should not be applied to skin that has been shaved within the last 12 hours or to skin that is damaged or irritated. Additionally, depilatory agents should not be applied to the affected area within 12 hours before or after using this medication. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, inside the nose, mouth, or other mucous membranes; if contact occurs by accident, it should be rinsed immediately with clean water. Pregnant women should consult a doctor before using this medication, as although aluminum components are not easily absorbed through the skin, reproductive toxicity has been reported in animal studies. Nursing women should also consult a professional before use and avoid contact with the breast area. If contact occurs, it should be thoroughly washed off before breastfeeding. For children under 12 years of age, it is advisable not to use this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been established. If during use any symptoms such as skin irritation, itching, rash, or redness occur, use should be stopped immediately and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Applying this medication too frequently may lead to increased skin irritation, so recommended dosages should be adhered to. If this medication is ingested, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and burning in the mouth and throat may occur; in such cases, the mouth should be rinsed with water and medical guidance followed. This medication contains a significant amount of ethanol and may have systemic effects in case of overdose, so caution is advised. Before applying this medication, the treatment area should be completely dry, and care should be taken to avoid direct contact with clothing or metal jewelry. When storing, it should be kept in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or light, and direct sunlight should be avoided. It should also be stored in a cool place below 25 degrees Celsius to maintain its efficacy.
