This medication is used for gastrointestinal-related symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years): Take 2 tablets at a time; if symptoms do not improve after 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 4 tablets (2 times a day).

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with blood disorders or diseases of the kidneys, liver, stomach, or duodenum. Caution is also necessary for patients with immune system disorders such as asthma or rheumatism. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer agents, or azole antifungals may experience side effects due to interactions with this medication, and should avoid using it. Those with a history of anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia are at a higher risk of further reducing blood cell counts when taking this medication. Individuals with hypersensitivity to histamine H2 receptor antagonists should not use this medication. Children under 15 years of age and elderly patients over 80 years of age should be cautious, as the safety of this medication has not been established or may have a stronger effect due to reduced kidney function. Pregnant women or women who might become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers should not take this medication, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if taking this medication. Patients receiving dialysis should also avoid using this medication. Patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should avoid this medication due to included ingredients. When taking this medication, there may be interactions with other drugs, so if you are under medical care or taking other medications, you must consult with a healthcare provider. Individuals with a previous history of allergic reactions to medications should also exercise caution. Patients aged 65 and older may require cautious administration due to individual physiological differences. If symptoms such as sore throat, cough, or high fever are present, there is a risk of serious infection, and physician consultation is advised before taking this medication. If there is unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain, a diagnosis should be obtained before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, redness, swelling, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain occur while taking this medication, immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If symptoms such as chest tightness, pale face, cold hands and feet, cold sweat, or difficulty breathing occur, discontinue use immediately. In cases of severe skin rash, blisters on mucous membranes, sore throat, high fever, tendency to bleed, or jaundice, inform medical personnel immediately. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than 3 days, discontinue use and consult a professional, and long-term use (more than 2 weeks) is not recommended. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication and do not exceed the prescribed dosage. This medication should only be used for designated indications, and prolonged continuous use is not advised. Patients with a history of kidney disease must consult with a professional before taking this medication. The antacid ingredients in this medication may inhibit absorption when taken with certain antibiotics or antimicrobials; thus, caution is needed, and it is advisable not to combine it with other gastrointestinal medications. During storage, keep this medication out of the reach of children, avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures, and store it in a cool, dry place. Additionally, to maintain quality, do not transfer it to another container.

  • Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor → severe allergic reaction
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa → severe skin adverse reactions
  • Jaundice → liver abnormalities (jaundice)

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (congestion leading to redness), itching, swelling, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, muscle pain, throat pain, fatigue, blanched areas in the face and eyelids, easy bruising (bleeding gums, nosebleeds, etc.)

Storage

This medication can be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. Additionally, keep the medication at room temperature, ideally between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, avoiding areas that are too hot or too cold.
