This medication is used for gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years): Take 2 tablets at a time, and if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 2 doses (4 tablets) in one day.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver disease, gastric or duodenal disorders, or immune system diseases such as asthma or rheumatism. This medication can cause blood abnormalities such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia, so patients with such histories should also avoid use. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer drugs, azole antifungals, etc., should be cautious of possible side effects due to interactions with this medication. Individuals hypersensitive to histamine H2-receptor antagonists may experience exacerbated allergic reactions when taking this medication. Children under 15 years old and the elderly over 80 years old have not established safety for this medication, and particularly the elderly should use it cautiously due to potential enhanced effects from reduced kidney function. Pregnant women or those who could become pregnant, as well as nursing women, should consult their doctor regarding the risk of transferring this medication into breast milk, and consider discontinuing breastfeeding. Patients receiving dialysis treatment or those with genetic metabolic disorders such as lactose intolerance should not take this medication. During treatment with this medication, interactions with other drugs may cause side effects or decrease the efficacy, so if you are currently taking other medications, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist. If you experience allergic symptoms, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for more than three days, you should stop and consult your doctor, as it may be another condition; long-term use for more than two weeks should be avoided. Avoid alcohol beverages while taking this medication and be careful not to exceed the prescribed dose. Do not take this medication in combination with other gastrointestinal medications, as side effects may be aggravated.
