This drug is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness in the extremities caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease. Additionally, it is helpful in preventing recurrence in patients with cerebral infarction, excluding those with cardiogenic cerebral embolism. Therefore, it is effectively used to improve symptoms caused by blood circulation problems and to prevent recurrence of cerebrovascular diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Cilostazol is usually administered orally as 100 mg twice a day for adults. Dosage should be adjusted according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This drug may increase heart rate, increasing the risk of angina symptoms, so symptoms such as chest pain should be carefully monitored. Patients with a tendency to bleed or at high risk of bleeding, patients with congestive heart failure, patients allergic to this drug or its components, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this drug. Patients taking medications that may increase the risk of bleeding, such as anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents, menstruating women, patients with coronary artery stenosis, patients with severe renal or hepatic failure, diabetes patients, patients with persistent hypertension, and patients with cardiac arrhythmias should use this drug with caution.
