This medication helps alleviate symptoms caused by diabetic polyneuropathy. It reduces pain or sensory abnormalities due to nerve damage, thereby improving the patient's quality of life. With consistent use, it aids in the recovery of nerve function and effectively manages symptoms. It is a suitable treatment option for nerve-related issues experienced by diabetic patients.
Adults: Take 600mg of thioctic acid once daily, 30 minutes before a meal, orally with a little water, without chewing, unless otherwise prescribed. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

This medication may lower blood sugar levels, leading to symptoms of hypoglycemia, such as dizziness, sweating, headaches, and vision disturbances. Changes in taste or unusual taste sensations may also occur rarely. Alcohol may diminish the therapeutic effect of this medication; therefore, especially for patients with diabetic neuropathy, it is advisable to avoid alcohol consumption.
