Relief of stomach pain and indigestion (heartburn, nausea)
This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal-related symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.
Adults (aged 15 and over, under 80): Take 2 tablets once; if symptoms do not improve after more than 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 4 tablets (2 times a day).
This medication should not be taken by patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, stomach or duodenal diseases, and immune system diseases such as asthma or rheumatoid arthritis. Caution is also needed for patients taking steroids, antibiotics, anticancer drugs, and azole antifungals, as concurrent use may decrease blood cell counts. Patients with a history of blood abnormalities such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia should exercise caution when taking this medication, as blood cell counts may be reduced further. People allergic to histamine H2 receptor antagonists should not take this medication. The safety of this medication has not been established for children under 15 and for elderly patients aged 80 and above; elderly patients should be especially cautious due to reduced kidney function leading to higher retention of the drug and stronger effects. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding women, are advised against taking this medication, and breastfeeding women should discontinue nursing if taking this medication. Patients receiving dialysis treatment should also avoid taking this medication. This medication contains lactose; patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients taking other medications or receiving medical treatment should be cautious, as drug interactions may lead to side effects or reduced efficacy. Individuals with a history of drug allergies should also take this medication cautiously. Patients aged 65 and older should be particularly careful due to individual variability caused by decreased physiological function. Patients with sore throat, cough, and high fever may have a serious infection, so caution is needed as this medication may worsen symptoms or mask side effects. Patients experiencing unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as it may indicate another condition. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 4 (Tartrazine), which requires caution in individuals allergic to this component. If allergic symptoms, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain occur during use, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. If symptoms such as chest tightness, paleness, cold extremities, sweating, or shortness of breath occur, the medication should be stopped immediately, and medical personnel should be informed. Immediate treatment is necessary for severe rashes, blisters, or mucosal abnormalities accompanied by high fever. If symptoms such as throat pain, fever, fatigue, whitening of the face and eyelids, or easy bleeding occur, a doctor should be consulted immediately. If jaundice symptoms appear, the medication should be stopped immediately and discussed with a medical professional. If symptoms do not improve after three days of use, other conditions may exist, so the medication should be stopped and a doctor consulted. Long-term use beyond two weeks should be avoided, and alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking this medication. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage, and in case of overdose, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication should not be taken for symptoms outside of those confirmed, and long-term use should be avoided. Patients with a history of kidney disease must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. The antacid component of this medication may interfere with the absorption when taken with certain antibiotics or antimicrobial agents, so caution is required. Taking this medication with other gastrointestinal medications may lead to enhanced activity, resulting in unexpected side effects, so it should not be taken concomitantly. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container.
