Treatment of skin fungal infections caused by dermatophytes and Candida (such as athlete's foot, body ringworm, etc.)
This medication is effective against athlete's foot, jock itch, body ringworm caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum canis, and Epidermophyton floccosum, as well as the fungus Pityrosporum orbiculare that causes tinea versicolor. It is also used to treat skin Candida, improving skin fungal infections. It helps treat various skin fungal infections.
Apply to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. The treatment duration varies according to the condition: 1. Athlete's foot: Once daily for 1 week Interdigital (between toes) athlete's foot: Twice daily for 1 week Plantar (sole) athlete's foot: Twice daily for 2 weeks 2. Body ringworm, jock itch: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Skin Candida infection: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Tinea versicolor: 2 weeks If clinical symptoms do not improve after the treatment duration, re-evaluation is needed.
This medicine should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients, or who have experienced hypersensitivity reactions. It is also safer for pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, and breastfeeding women to avoid using this medication. Additionally, children should not use this medication. If skin rashes or allergic reactions occur during use, stop using the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If there is severe irritation, itching, redness, hives, skin peeling, pigmentation changes, pain, or burning sensation, consult a professional immediately. This medicine should not be used with sealed bandages or packaging without a doctor's instruction, and if it does not work, tests should be conducted to check for fungal infections. When there is Candida infection, it is advisable to avoid using acid soaps. When applied to intact skin, very little of the drug is absorbed, reducing the risk of systemic side effects, but caution is required for wounds, large areas, or application to young children as systemic effects may occur. In case of accidental ingestion of this medication, induce vomiting to remove the active ingredient with activated charcoal, and if necessary, receive treatment to alleviate symptoms. This medication is for external use only; avoid contact with the eyes, and if it does get into the eyes, wash thoroughly with water. It is advisable not to use it on the nails, scalp, around the mouth, or the genital area. Some photosensitivity has been reported in animal studies, so caution is required when exposed to sunlight. When storing, keep it in a safe place out of reach of children, and store it sealed in the original container. Transferring to another container may compromise the quality of the medication or increase the risk of misuse.
