Treatment of ear infections
This medication is used for the treatment of otitis media and otitis externa caused by sensitive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Proteus, Pseudomonas, and Haemophilus influenzae.
Adults: Instill 6-10 drops twice daily. After instillation, keep the ear facing upward for about 10 minutes. The dose may be adjusted as appropriate according to age and symptoms.
This medication is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used for the treatment of certain bacterial infections. This medication should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or similar class drugs in the past. If severe allergic reactions occur during use such as hypotension, loss of consciousness, swelling of the face or neck, difficulty breathing, hives, severe itching, etc., stop using it immediately. When there is inflammation in the ear, symptoms like itching, dizziness, ear pain may occur, and other symptoms like taste disorders, rash, nausea, vomiting, headache, tinnitus, fever, etc. may also occur. Rarely, issues with auditory and vestibular function such as hearing loss or balance disorders can occur, and if these symptoms arise, consulting a specialist is necessary. To prevent the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, this medication should only be used for the minimum required duration after confirming the susceptibility of the infectious bacteria. Typically, 4 weeks of use is recommended, and careful judgment is necessary for prolonged use. Prolonged use may lead to overgrowth of other pathogens, such as fungal infections, so if symptoms persist, treatment should be stopped and alternative methods sought. If symptoms persist or recur, treatment may be necessary to identify and eliminate the underlying cause. This medication can cause allergic reactions even after a single dose, so if rashes or other allergic symptoms appear, stop using it immediately and consult a professional. If otitis media is limited to inside the eardrum, it is appropriate to use this medication locally, but if the inflammation has spread to surrounding tissues, oral medication treatment should be considered. During pregnancy, this medication should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks, and if breastfeeding, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding or discontinue the use of the medication. It is better not to use this medication in infants under 1 year old, as safety and effectiveness have not been established. This medication should be used only in drop solution form, and when used, if the solution is too cold, dizziness may occur, so it is recommended to use it at a temperature similar to body temperature.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored away from direct sunlight and in a cool, room temperature. It is important to keep it in a sealed container to prevent air or moisture from entering.
This product is a clear solution ranging from pale yellow to light yellow.
