Blood pressure control and treatment of vascular instability, tachycardia, and prolongation of anesthesia time
This medication is used to adequately control blood pressure during anesthesia. It helps maintain appropriate blood pressure levels during spinal or inhalation anesthesia, and treats issues related to shock states or hypotension caused by medications and hypersensitivity reactions through vascular constriction. It is also effective in treating paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Additionally, it prolongs the duration of spinal anesthesia and constricts blood vessels during regional anesthesia. Thus, it is effective in stabilizing blood pressure and blood vessels in various situations.
Generally administered via subcutaneous injection, intramuscular injection, slowly via intravenous injection, or continuously through infusion. 1. Moderate hypotension 1) Subcutaneously or intramuscularly: The usual dosage is 2-5mg, administered within a range of 1-10mg. The initial dose should not exceed 5mg. 2) Intravenous injection: The usual dosage is 0.2mg, administered within a range of 0.1-0.5mg. The initial dose should not exceed 0.5mg.
For hypotension during spinal anesthesia, it is recommended to administer 0.5-1mg/25 pounds (11.34 kg) subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
