Treatment of corticosteroid-responsive skin diseases (e.g., allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis)
This medication is used to treat corticosteroid-responsive skin diseases with bacterial or fungal infections or those at risk of infection. It is effective for allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, intertrigo, exfoliative dermatitis, and chronic simple lichen (neurodermatitis). It alleviates inflammation and itching associated with these skin conditions and promotes lesion healing. Therefore, it is useful in improving skin health and alleviating symptoms.
Apply an appropriate amount lightly to the affected area and its surroundings twice a day in the morning and evening, rubbing gently.
This medication should not be used on open wounds or mucous membranes. It should not be applied when there is a bacterial, fungal, viral, or parasitic infection on the skin, as it may worsen symptoms. People who are allergic to this medication or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions should not use it. It should be avoided when there is otitis externa with a perforated eardrum as it may delay healing. It is advisable not to use it on ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite areas as skin regeneration may slow down. It should also be avoided in cases of perioral dermatitis, common acne, and rosacea. Patients allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant or likely to become pregnant, and nursing mothers should use this medication with caution. Children or minors have a larger skin surface area relative to body weight, increasing the risk of side effects, so it should be used under parental supervision. Skin infections may occur during the use of this medication, and if symptoms of infection appear, use should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. If skin irritation, rash, itching, or redness occurs, use should be discontinued and a professional consulted. Long-term use may result in side effects such as thinning skin or vascular dilation, so caution is necessary. Prolonged use over wide areas or the use of occlusive dressings may lead to systemic side effects, so caution is needed. When used around the eyes, special care should be taken as it may increase intraocular pressure or the risk of glaucoma. If blurred vision or visual disturbances occur, ophthalmological examination should be sought immediately. Long-term use of this medication may result in side effects such as renal dysfunction or hearing loss, so caution is advised. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and treatment should be stopped as soon as possible when symptoms improve. This medication should not be used on areas of the skin where makeup or shaving is performed for non-therapeutic purposes. Store out of reach of children to prevent accidents.
