Treatment of peripheral artery circulation disorders (intermittent claudication) and brain function disorders (tinnitus, dizziness, etc.)
This medication is used to treat intermittent claudication due to peripheral artery circulation disorders. It also helps with symptoms such as dizziness, vascular and degenerative tinnitus. It is effective for treating organic brain function disorders accompanied by symptoms of dementia such as tinnitus, headaches, memory decline, concentration difficulties, depressive feelings, and dizziness. Overall, it helps improve blood circulation and enhance brain function to alleviate patients' symptoms.
Peripheral artery circulation disorders, dizziness, tinnitus: Ginkgo biloba extract 40 milligrams orally, three times a day, or 80 milligrams orally, twice a day. Organic brain function disorders: Ginkgo biloba extract 40-80 milligrams orally, three times a day, or 120 milligrams orally, twice a day. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with specific allergies. Children under 12 years old should not use this medication due to insufficient safety data. Women who are pregnant must consult a professional before taking this medication; although animal tests did not indicate teratogenic effects, there is insufficient experience regarding humans. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or specific genetic metabolic disorders should avoid taking it. Patients with bleeding disorders or those taking medications that affect blood clotting should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Breastfeeding women should also consult a professional to determine whether to take this medication, as it is not known whether it is transmitted through breast milk. If surgery is planned or symptoms do not improve or worsen within three months after taking the medication, it is important to stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Mild gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, and skin allergic reactions may occur infrequently, and there have been reports of unusual symptoms such as dizziness or itching. Serious allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, may occur, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional immediately. This medication is not a treatment for hypertension, so patients with high blood pressure should use alternative medications if special treatment is needed.
