Treatment of dermatophyte infections (tinea pedis, tinea corporis) and pityriasis, and cutaneous candidiasis.
This medication is used to treat tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton, as well as pityriasis caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare, and cutaneous candidiasis.
Apply to the affected area (site of infection) once or twice a day. The treatment duration based on the condition is as follows: 1. Tinea pedis: Once daily for 1 week; Interdigital (between toes) tinea pedis: Twice daily for 1 week; Plantar tinea pedis: Twice daily for 2 weeks. 2. Tinea corporis, tinea cruris: 1 to 2 weeks. 3. Cutaneous candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks. 4. Pityriasis: 2 weeks. Clinical symptoms should improve after the treatment period.
This medication should not be used by individuals who have had allergic reactions to this drug or any of its components. Pregnant women, individuals who may become pregnant, or breastfeeding women are advised not to use this medication. Additionally, this drug should not be used by children. Since this medication contains propylene glycol, patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this ingredient should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. If any abnormal reactions occur during use, such as rash, itching, redness, or irritation, usage should be stopped immediately and a healthcare professional should be consulted. Do not use occlusive dressings or wrappings without a doctor's advice while using this medication. If this medication is ineffective, tests should be conducted to check for other fungal infections, and alternate treatments should be considered. It is advisable to avoid using acidic soap in case of Candida infections. When applying to intact skin, the risk of systemic side effects is low, but caution is necessary when applying to wounds, large areas, or to infants. In the event of accidental ingestion, activated charcoal may be used to remove the active ingredient and appropriate treatment should be sought if necessary. This medication is topical and should only be applied to the skin; it should not be used near the eyes, nails, scalp, mouth, or vaginal areas. If the medication contacts the eyes, they should be rinsed thoroughly with plenty of water, as irritation or worsening of infection may occur. This drug has been reported to have mild photosensitivity in animal experiments, so caution should be exercised during sun exposure. When storing, keep it out of reach of children and store it tightly closed in its original container. Transferring to another container may lead to misuse or deterioration of the medication quality.
