Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients undergoing dialysis. It also contains lactose, so individuals who are genetically intolerant to galactose, have lactose intolerance, or have glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with high blood pressure, older individuals, those with heart or kidney problems, those with edema, and those currently under medical treatment should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If urine output decreases, symptoms such as swelling of the face, hands, feet, or heaviness in the eyelids, or if there is stiffness in the hands, increased blood pressure, and headaches during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, prolonged use of this medication may lead to issues such as hypokalemia, elevated blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain, so potassium levels in the blood should be monitored regularly. If unusual symptoms like muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Those with a history of allergic reactions to this medication, those taking other medications, individuals with kidney or liver problems, or those with low phosphate levels should take caution. If allergic symptoms such as rash or itching appear during administration, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Rarely, symptoms like palpitations, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches may occur, and if constipation or dry mouth occurs, inform a healthcare professional. This medication can also rarely cause symptoms such as rapid heart rate or elevated liver function tests. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration; if symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of use, discontinue and consult. Long-term use should be avoided, and if there is a history of kidney disease, a healthcare professional should be consulted before taking. This medication should not be taken in conjunction with stomach pain relievers or antispasmodics, and caution should be exercised when taking potassium-containing products or medicines containing licorice, as there is a risk of hypokalemia or myopathy when taken with certain diuretics. This medication is not for use in children under 15 years old, and pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, or nursing mothers should not take it. When storing, keep it out of the reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly closed.
