Improvement of liver function through non-oral amino acid supply in chronic liver failure.
Non-oral amino acid supply therapy is helpful for patients with chronic liver failure. It contributes to alleviating symptoms by improving protein metabolism in the body when liver function is impaired. This method helps maintain the nutritional status of the patient and aids in enhancing liver function. Therefore, non-oral amino acid supply during chronic liver failure is used to effectively manage the patient's health status.
Administer intravenously as a drop infusion of 1000-1500 mL per day. The administration rate is 2 mL per kg of body weight over 60 minutes (45 drops per minute). However, the maximum daily dosage is 100g of D-sorbitol.
This medicine must be used strictly under doctor's instructions. It should not be used in patients with severe kidney disease, high nitrogen levels in the blood, liver function problems, or abnormalities in amino acid metabolism. Additionally, it should be avoided in instances of severe heart failure, pulmonary edema, very low or absent urine output, certain cardiac conduction disorders, severe myasthenia gravis, in children and pregnant women, storage dehydration, lactic acidosis, methanol poisoning, hereditary fructose intolerance, acidosis, excessive fluid supply conditions, kidney failure, patients with insufficient cellular oxygen supply, and myocardial infarction. Caution should be exercised in patients with congestive heart failure, edema due to sodium retention, hyperkalemia, kidney disorders, and diabetes insipidus. This product contains sodium bisulfite, which may cause severe allergic reactions or asthma attacks in those with sulfite allergies. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes may occur when using this medication, as well as gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea and vomiting, discomfort in the chest, palpitations, rapid pulse, and circulatory symptoms such as elevated blood pressure. High dosages or rapid administration may lead to acidosis, and rare symptoms including heat sensation, vascular pain, chills, fever, headache, shortness of breath, respiratory arrest, shock, bronchospasm, and urethral spasm may occur. Peripheral vasodilation, metabolic acidosis, hypophosphatemia, alkalosis, hyperglycemia, diabetes, dehydration, hypoglycemia, elevated liver enzymes, vitamin imbalances, electrolyte abnormalities, and in children, hyperammonemia may occur. In patients with kidney failure, there may be an increase in blood urea nitrogen levels, so caution is needed. When this medicine is administered in large amounts or used in conjunction with other electrolyte-containing fluids, special attention should be paid to maintaining electrolyte balance. In cases of overdose, metabolic alkalosis may occur; therefore, caution is necessary when using formulations containing acetate ions. In patients with kidney, lung, or heart diseases, the administration rate and dosage should be adjusted to avoid fluid overload. Diabetic patients should frequently monitor their blood sugar while receiving this medication. The effectiveness of this medication may be reduced when used concurrently with certain antibiotics, and simultaneous administration with calcium preparations may lead to magnesium precipitation. The safety for pregnant women has not been established, hence it should only be administered when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. In children, liver function may be immature, so a lower concentration should be used, and blood ammonia levels should be monitored frequently. Elderly patients may have diminished physical function, so the administration rate should be slow, and the dosage should be adjusted. This medication contains electrolytes and care must be taken to avoid electrolyte imbalances during high dosages, and rapid infusion may lead to chills or vomiting, so it should be administered slowly. Prior to use, the solution should be warmed to approximately body temperature and should be prepared and stored in an aseptic state. Discoloration or turbidity in the solution indicates it should not be used. If xylitol is included, the administration speed and dosage should be limited to avoid burdening the kidneys or liver.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medicine should be stored in a sealed container to prevent air or moisture ingress, preferably at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight. Room temperature typically refers to temperatures between 15 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius, and avoiding overly hot or cold places helps maintain the effectiveness of the medication.
