This medicine is used for digestive dysfunction caused by excessive drinking, indigestion, feeling of food retention in the stomach, loss of appetite, the sound of water in the abdomen, and stomach bloating.

How to take

Adult dose

Generally, an adult take 1 packet (single dose) 3 times a day before meals or between meals.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so individuals with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose breakdown should not take it. Patients with high blood pressure, heart or kidney problems, those with edema, the elderly, and those taking other medications should consult a specialist before taking this medicine. If urine output decreases, facial and extremity swelling occurs, eyelids feel heavy, stiffness in hands, increased blood pressure, or headaches arise while taking this medication, immediately discontinue use and consult a specialist. If symptoms such as muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis occur, stop taking this medication and consult a doctor. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for several days, discontinue use and consult a specialist. This medicine should not be taken for a prolonged period, and if there is a need for long-term use, it should be done under the guidance of a specialist. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and administration, as combining this medication with other drugs containing potassium or licorice may cause side effects. When taking other herbal medicines, be cautious to avoid overlapping ingredients. When storing, avoid direct sunlight and keep in a cool, dry place, and ensure to seal it tightly after use. Keep in a safe place out of reach of children and avoid transferring the medication from its original container to another.

Side effects and when to seek care immediately

Serious side effects

  • Significant decrease in urine output, severe systemic edema, increased blood pressure → severe edema or urination abnormalities.
  • Severe headache and symptoms of paralysis → severe neurological symptoms.

Mild side effects

  • Symptoms related to hyperaldosteronism: decreased urine output, facial and extremity swelling, eyelid heaviness, hand stiffness, headache.
  • Symptoms related to myopathy: weakness, limb cramps, paralysis.
  • Hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, sodium fluid retention, weight gain, etc.
  • Caution is needed when combined with licorice preparations and diuretics.
