Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had an allergic reaction to the active ingredient or any component of the product. It is important not to take this medication alongside immunosuppressants such as Tacrolimus or Sirolimus. Using these medications together can increase their concentrations in the blood, posing a risk of side effects. Therefore, the physician should periodically check blood concentrations and carefully monitor the patient's condition. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor before using this medication. Although animal studies have shown no evidence that this medication is harmful to the fetus, it should be used under a doctor's guidance during pregnancy, and the use of an applicator for inserting vaginal tablets is advised against. Breastfeeding women should also consult with a healthcare professional before using this medication. The amount absorbed systemically is low, so the risk of transmission to the baby through breast milk is minimal, but consultation is recommended for safety. If any abnormal symptoms such as allergic reactions, low blood pressure, respiratory distress, abdominal pain, skin rash, or unusual vaginal discharge occur while using this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and medical consultation should be sought. It is advisable not to use this medication during menstruation, and additional oral treatment may be necessary for the treatment of trichomoniasis. If vulvitis or Candida balanitis is present, using a cream formulation may be helpful. To prevent reinfection, it is advisable to change and wash personal towels or underwear daily. During treatment, it is best to avoid using tampons, vaginal cleansers, or other vaginal insertion products, as well as abstaining from sexual intercourse. Partners should also be cautious as there may be a risk of infection during intercourse. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, and this medication should never be swallowed. If symptoms such as high fever, severe abdominal pain, unusual vaginal discharge, or vaginal bleeding occur, consult a doctor immediately. There is no specific antidote for overdose, but if a large amount is accidentally ingested, one should promptly go to the hospital for appropriate treatment. Animal studies have reported that high-dose oral administration may harm the fetus, so pregnant women should be particularly cautious. This medication may weaken rubber products such as condoms or vaginal contraceptive diaphragms, so caution is needed when used together. This medication is for vaginal use only and should not be taken orally. It is recommended for use by children over 12 years of age and adults only.
