Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers (antacid action), improvement of gastritis symptoms
This medication helps in the treatment of gastrointestinal ulcers such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, and alleviates various gastrointestinal symptoms caused by gastritis or excessive stomach acid such as burning sensation, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and belching. It neutralizes stomach acid through its antacid action, protecting the stomach lining and improving symptoms. Therefore, it is used to effectively alleviate pain and discomfort associated with gastrointestinal diseases.
Take 1 g of Almagate three times a day, 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals, chewing it for oral administration. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
Children aged 12 and older should take 1 g of Almagate three times a day, 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals, chewing it for oral administration. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who have had allergic reactions. It is also advisable for those with Alzheimer's disease or hemorrhoids to avoid taking this medication. Individuals with swelling in their body, pregnancy-induced hypertension, or severe diarrhea should steer clear of this medication. It should not be taken if gastrointestinal bleeding is suspected. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or certain genetic conditions should avoid it. It is recommended not to take this medication alongside tetracycline-class antibiotics. If you are taking other medications, consult with your doctor or pharmacist as this medication may affect the absorption or excretion of other drugs. Particularly, individuals with poor kidney function are not recommended to take this medication for a long time. Those who are physically weak or have insufficient phosphorus intake should also be cautious as it may affect bone health. Elderly individuals, those with symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before taking. If constipation or diarrhea occurs or if symptoms do not improve within two weeks, discontinue use and consult a professional immediately. Follow the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines carefully, and guardians should supervise when administering to children. Keep the medication out of children's reach, store it in its original container away from direct sunlight, and keep it in a cool, dry place.
Hypersensitivity reactions (such as hives, severe swelling, etc.)
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
Do not take this medication together with tetracycline-class antibiotics. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer treatments, digoxin preparations, chlorpromazine, lansoprazole, prednisolone, penicillin, quinolones, iron preparations, or salicylates.
This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent air from entering, and it is best kept at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Proper storage will ensure the medication maintains its effectiveness.
