Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers (antacid effect), improvement of gastritis symptoms, etc.
This medication is used for conditions such as gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis. It helps alleviate symptoms of heartburn and stomach pain caused by excess gastric acid, as well as belching. Additionally, it improves nausea and vomiting symptoms, reducing digestive discomfort. Therefore, it is used effectively to improve various gastrointestinal symptoms.
1 g of Almagate taken three times daily, chewed orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
For children aged 12 and over, the dosage is the same as for adults: 1 g of Almagate taken three times daily, chewed orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this drug or any of its components. Patients with Alzheimer’s disease or hemorrhoids are also advised not to use this medication. Those with excessive fluid retention and patients with gestational hypertension should avoid using this medication. Patients with diarrhea or unknown causes of gastrointestinal bleeding should not use this medication. It is important not to take this medication concurrently with tetracycline antibiotics. If taking other medications, please consult with a doctor or pharmacist as this medication may affect drug absorption or excretion. Especially, it is advisable to take it with a 2 to 3-hour interval from non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer medications, or digitalis preparations. Caution should be exercised in patients with poor kidney function, as some components of this medication may accumulate in the kidneys. Individuals with a weak constitution or those on a low-sodium diet, as well as those with absorption disorders, may experience an impact on bone health with prolonged use. Elderly patients, those with gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms, pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a professional before use. If constipation or diarrhea occurs during treatment or if symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and children should take this medication under parental supervision. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, sealed in its original container, and kept in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
