Candidal vaginitis is a type of vaginitis caused by Candida fungi. This medication alleviates symptoms associated with vaginal inflammation due to Candida and eliminates the causative organisms to improve the condition. It is primarily used to treat itching, increased discharge, and discomfort. It safely aids in the treatment of candidal vaginitis.

How to use

Adult use

Typically, 100 mg of Clotrimazole should be inserted deeply into the vagina once daily for 6 consecutive nights. For short-term therapy, typically 200 mg of Clotrimazole should be inserted deeply into the vagina once daily for 3 consecutive nights.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who have had allergic reactions to the active ingredient or components. During use, do not take this medication in conjunction with certain immunosuppressants such as Tacrolimus or Sirolimus, as doing so may lead to increased blood concentration and adverse effects; therefore, careful monitoring is necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a physician before using this medication, and it is advisable to avoid the use of inserted devices during pregnancy. Breastfeeding women should also consult a physician before using this medication. If sudden allergic reactions, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, abdominal pain, skin rash, vaginal bleeding, or discomfort occur while using this medication, stop use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. It is advisable not to use this medication during the menstrual period, and if trichomoniasis is present, additional treatment may be required. To prevent reinfection, it is important to change and wash personal towels or underwear daily. During the use of this medication, avoid using tampons, vaginal cleansing agents, or soaps, and it is advisable to refrain from vaginal intercourse. Care should be taken to prevent this medication from entering the eyes, and it must not be swallowed. If high fever, lower abdominal pain, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, or vaginal bleeding occurs, consult a healthcare professional immediately. There is no specific antidote for overdose, but if accidentally taken in large quantities, it is safest to seek medical treatment promptly. This medication may weaken latex products such as condoms or vaginal contraceptive diaphragms, so caution is advised during use. This medication is for vaginal use only and is safe for use by children aged 12 years and older and adults only. Store the medication out of reach of children, keep it in its original container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place.
