This medication is effective in relieving pain and inflammation associated with degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. It is also used for fever and pain caused by colds, back pain, menstrual cramps, and post-operative pain. Additionally, it is effective for various pain conditions such as ankylosing spondylitis, headache, toothache, muscle pain, and neuralgia, as well as acute gout, psoriatic arthritis, soft tissue injuries (sprains, strains), and non-articular rheumatic diseases (tendinitis, tendinosis, bursitis). In summary, this medication is used to relieve various inflammations and pains related to joints and muscles and to treat various soft tissue injuries.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-articular rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: Administer 200~600 mg orally, 3~4 times a day. The maximum daily dose can be up to 3200 mg. Mild and moderate pain, cold: Administer 200~400 mg orally, 3~4 times a day. Adjust the dose according to age and symptoms.

Child dose

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis: Administer 30~40 mg per kg of body weight daily, divided into 3~4 oral doses.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding when taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day, so it is essential to consult a healthcare professional or pharmacist. This medication may pose a risk for severe gastrointestinal issues such as bleeding, ulcers, and perforation; therefore, elderly patients or those on long-term treatment must be cautious. Individuals with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or bleeding tendencies, severe liver or kidney impairment, and severe heart failure should not take this medication. Those with bronchial asthma or a history of hypersensitivity to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid taking this medication. It should not be used in late pregnancy as it may harm the fetus, and patients undergoing high-dose methotrexate chemotherapy should also avoid it. Individuals allergic to lactose, which is included in this medication, should refrain from taking it. Do not exceed the recommended dosage, and it is advisable not to take it together with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
