Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers (antacid effect), improvement of symptoms of gastritis, etc.
This medication is used to neutralize acid through its antacid effect in cases of damage to the gastric mucosa or inflammation, such as gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis, alleviating symptoms like heartburn, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and belching caused by excessive gastric acid.
As Almagate, take 1 g 3 times a day, orally chewed 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
Pediatric patients aged 12 and older should follow the same dosage as adults.
This medicine should not be taken by individuals who have allergic reactions to this medicine or its ingredients. Patients with Alzheimer's disease or hemorrhoids should also avoid this medication. Patients with edema or pregnancy-induced hypertension, as well as those experiencing diarrhea, should not take this medicine. Additionally, this medication should not be used if there is unexplained bleeding in the digestive tract. Moreover, since this medication contains lactose, it is not suitable for those with lactose intolerance or certain genetic conditions. It is advisable not to take this medicine concurrently with tetracycline antibiotics. This medication may interact with other drugs; thus, it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist if taking other medications. Particularly, patients with impaired kidney function should be cautious as the ingredients of this medicine may accumulate in the body. Individuals with weak bodies or inadequate phosphorus intake should be careful of bone health when taking this medicine long-term. Elderly patients, those with symptoms of digestive tract bleeding, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult with a professional before taking this medication. If constipation or diarrhea occurs during treatment, or if symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks, immediately discontinue use and consult a professional. Adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and when giving this to children, supervision by a guardian is necessary. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children, store it in its original container, and keep it in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture.

This medicine should not be taken with tetracycline antibiotics. Patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer treatments, digitalis preparations, chlorpromazine, lansoprazole, prednisolone, penicillin, quinolones, iron salts, and salicylates should consult a physician or pharmacist.
This medicine should be stored in a sealed container to prevent air and moisture from entering, and it is recommended to keep it at a cool room temperature away from direct sunlight. Room temperature typically refers to a temperature range of 15 to 25 degrees Celsius, avoiding places that are too hot or too cold.
