Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as nausea, limb coldness, and difficulty in breathing may occur, and if such symptoms arise, usage should be immediately discontinued and appropriate treatment sought. Symptoms of hypersensitivity such as palpitations, vascular swelling, difficulty in breathing, rash, and itching may occur, and these symptoms should lead to discontinuation of the drug. Temporary burning or irritation of the eyes, redness, itching, blurred vision, tearing, dryness, and pain may occur, and rarely, serious corneal damage or serious skin reactions like Stevens-Johnson syndrome can occur, necessitating immediate discontinuation of use. Occasionally, auditory disturbances or irritation symptoms may also arise, so caution is advised. To prevent the development of resistant strains, this medication should be used only for the minimum necessary duration after confirming the susceptibility of the infecting bacteria. Long-term use may lead to excessive proliferation of fungi or non-susceptible bacteria, so it is advisable not to use for extended periods; if reinfection is suspected, a change to other treatment options is recommended. Particularly in the treatment of trachoma, 8 weeks of use is recommended, and any continuation thereafter should be done with caution. During treatment, avoid wearing soft contact lenses and ensure that the container does not come into direct contact with the eye. This drug should only be used for topical application, and it is advisable not to share it with others to prevent contamination. Usage during pregnancy or in women who may become pregnant is not considered safe; it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks. In breastfeeding cases, consideration should be given to discontinuing the medication or breastfeeding. Safety and efficacy have not been established in infants under 1 year of age, so it is recommended not to use this drug in this age group. This medication should be kept away from direct sunlight, stored in a cool, dry place, and out of reach of children.
