How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

(Eye drops) Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 4-6 times a day. In severe cases, instill hourly until inflammation subsides, then gradually reduce the frequency. (Eye ointment) Apply a small amount into the conjunctival sac 3-4 times a day or use with eye drops at bedtime.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with certain eye diseases. For example, it should not be administered to patients with viral keratitis or conjunctivitis, mycobacterial or fungal infections, fungal and tuberculosis infections. Additionally, patients with a history of glaucoma, newborns, or those with corneal damage or ulcers should also avoid using this medication. Those with allergies to the drug should exercise caution. This drug contains antimicrobial and steroid components that can cause allergic reactions and may weaken the cornea or sclera, increasing the risk of perforation. There may be an increase in intraocular pressure, and prolonged use can lead to serious eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts. The steroid component suppresses the immune response, which can worsen infections or result in persistent fungal infections. It may delay wound healing and exacerbate acute inflammation of the eyes. If you wear contact lenses, be sure to remove them when using this drug, and if used for more than 10 days, you should regularly have intraocular pressure checks. It is advisable to continue use for several days after symptom relief to prevent recurrence, but the total duration of use should not exceed 14 days. If symptoms do not improve after 7-8 days of use, you should discontinue use and consider other treatments. As this medication contains both steroids and antimicrobials, there is a risk of secondary infection with prolonged use, particularly concerning corneal fungal infections. Serious complications can occur if infected with chickenpox or measles, so previous medical history and vaccination status must be confirmed. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication cautiously only when necessary, as its safety has not been established, and breastfeeding mothers should discontinue feeding while receiving this drug. This medication is for ophthalmic use only, and care should be taken to prevent the container opening from touching the eye directly. To prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share it with others. When storing, keep it out of the reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in a cool, dry place. To maintain quality, do not transfer it to another container.
