This medication should not be used in patients with certain eye diseases. For example, it should be avoided in patients with viral keratitis, fungal eye infections, mycobacterial infections, a history of glaucoma, neonates, corneal damage or ulcers, and those allergic to any of the components of this medication. Using this medication may result in allergic reactions, and the cornea or sclera may be weakened, increasing the risk of perforation. Additionally, intraocular pressure may rise, and prolonged use may lead to serious eye diseases such as glaucoma or cataracts. These side effects may develop more rapidly in children, so caution is necessary. As it contains corticosteroids, prolonged use may worsen eye infections or cause secondary infections. Corneal wound healing may be delayed, and the risk of healing issues increases when steroids are used with other medications. Using this medication during acute eye inflammation may hide or worsen the infection, and patients with hypersensitivity to Neomycin may experience severe allergic reactions such as skin rashes, itching, or hives, necessitating discontinuation. Contact lens wear is not recommended during the treatment of ocular inflammation or infection, and this medication contains ingredients that can cause allergies. Caution is also advised as there are components that may induce skin reactions. During treatment, continue using the medication for a certain period even after symptom relief, but do not use it for more than 14 days. If there is no improvement in symptoms after 7-8 days, discontinue use and consider other treatments. Serious problems may occur if infected with chickenpox or measles while using this medication, so it is important to check medical history and vaccination status prior to use, and seek immediate medical attention if infection is suspected. Temporary blurring of vision or visual disturbances may occur, so wait until vision returns to normal before driving or operating machinery. Use of this medication during pregnancy is not recommended, especially with prolonged or repeated use, as it may affect fetal growth. It is also advisable not to use this medication while breastfeeding. This medication is for ophthalmic use only; care should be taken to avoid the tip of the container coming into direct contact with the eye. For contamination prevention, it is safe not to share it with others. When storing, keep it out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool place. The medication should not be transferred to another container to maintain its quality.
