This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to quinolone antibiotics. Although rare, severe allergic reactions such as nausea, cold extremities, and shortness of breath can occur, and if these symptoms appear, the use should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Additionally, various hypersensitivity symptoms such as cardiovascular collapse, loss of consciousness, angioedema, airway obstruction, rashes, and itching may occur; if such symptoms arise, medication should be discontinued. When used in the eyes, temporary burning, irritation, redness, itching, tearing, and dryness may occur, and serious side effects such as blurred vision, dizziness, and keratitis can also occur, necessitating an immediate halt of use if symptoms are severe. Hearing impairment or irritation symptoms may also develop, so it is important to consult a doctor if such symptoms arise. Long-term use should be avoided as it may lead to excessive proliferation of other organisms, such as fungi, and if secondary infections occur, a change in treatment should be considered. For the treatment of trachoma, it is standard to use it for only 8 weeks, and prolonged use should be decided cautiously. During treatment, wearing soft contact lenses should be avoided as the components in this medication may cause irritation when wearing lenses. Safety has not been established during pregnancy, so it should only be used when the benefits outweigh the risks if pregnancy is possible or if the individual is pregnant. If breastfeeding, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding or stop using the medication. It is preferable not to use this medication in infants under 1 year of age, as its safety and effectiveness have not been established. This medication is for ocular use only, and care should be taken to avoid direct contact of the tip of the container with the eye during instillation. Additionally, to prevent contamination, it is advisable not to share the medication with others. Finally, transferring the medication to another container can pose a risk of misuse and quality degradation, so it must be stored in its original container.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
