Treatment of peripheral artery circulation disorders (intermittent claudication) and brain function disorders (dizziness, tinnitus, etc.)
This medication is used in the treatment of peripheral arterial circulation disorders such as intermittent claudication. It is also effective for symptoms such as dizziness, vascular tinnitus, and degenerative tinnitus. Additionally, it helps with the treatment of organic brain dysfunction accompanying dementia symptoms such as tinnitus, headache, memory impairment, concentration difficulties, depression, and dizziness. Overall, it aids in improving blood circulation and enhancing brain function, thereby alleviating the patient's symptoms.
1) Peripheral arterial circulation disorder, dizziness, tinnitus: Ginkgo biloba extract 40 milligrams orally 3 times a day or 80 milligrams orally 2 times a day. 2) Organic brain dysfunction: Ginkgo biloba extract 40–80 milligrams orally 3 times a day or 120 milligrams orally 2 times a day. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be taken by those with allergies to any specific ingredients. It is advisable not to use it in children under 12 years of age, as safety has not been sufficiently established. Pregnant women must consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Patients with bleeding disorders or those taking blood-thinning medications should consult with a doctor or pharmacist. Breastfeeding women should also consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Those scheduled for surgery must discontinue this medication and consult with healthcare professionals. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after taking for more than 3 months, discontinue use immediately and seek advice. This medication may occasionally cause digestive discomfort, headaches, or allergic skin reactions, so consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary if any abnormal symptoms arise. Dizziness or itching has also been reported as side effects, so caution is necessary. A severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) can occur rarely, so if severe abnormal symptoms arise, visit a medical institution immediately. This medication is not a treatment for high blood pressure, so patients with high blood pressure should receive separate treatment and not manage with this medication alone. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight in a tightly closed container.
